Emotional Distress
Feeling stress is a normal reaction to the pressures in daily life. If the stress level interferes one’s functionality and productivity, this would be concerning. Ignoring emotional concerns makes us susceptible to distress, causing a constant state of negativity, helplessness, frustrations and/or feeling depressed. These emotional states, in turn, affect our family and friends, leaving them worry about us.
Since most children and adolescents do not actively seek emotional support, it is crucial for us as adults to enhance our sensitivity. This enables us to intervene at the right moment and emphasizes the importance of regular care and communication.
