Post-Trauma Stress Disorder (PTSD): PTSD is triggered after experiencing terrifying events and the symptoms linger for an extended period of time. PTSD symptoms may include nightmares, reliving the trauma, avoiding places, events or objects related to the traumatic experience, anger, trouble sleeping, feelings of guilt, loss of interest in activities. Examples of terrifying events encompasses physical or sexual assault, hospitalization, losing a loved one, fire disaster, traffic accident, witnessing a suicide, verbal or emotional abuse, etc.
