“I learned to confront truths about my experiences and emotions in a productive manner,” a young female media executive said.

“Seeing a counsellor was a difficult choice to make, but it was also the best thing I could have done for myself in 2016. Through speaking with a professional in a non-threatening, private environment, I was able to endure some difficult life seasons involving family relations and sometimes, even my career. I learned to confront truths about my experiences and emotions in a productive manner, and even if this is one of the most difficult things I’ve had to do, with my counsellor’s help I learned that I am capable and that I have the strength required to face my own realities, address the things I want to change, and grow from the things I have no control over. I am grateful for the time my counsellor has poured into listening to me, helping me, and reminding me of my worth and strength as a person, and most importantly, as the daughter of a loving God. Life is still challenging, but thanks to the counselling I experienced, I know there is always a way to endure and to emerge a better person.”
